Bogor, Indonesia – The Workshop CMiM: "Maintaining Boiler Efficiency – Cleaning Soot and Scale in Industrial Pipes" will be held on 23–24 August 2026 at the TBIC Building, BRIN Puspiptek, Pengasinan, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java. The two-day workshop aims to provide industries, researchers, academics, and students with practical knowledge on improving boiler performance by addressing soot and scale buildup inside industrial piping systems. Boilers play a critical role in many industrial operations, and their efficiency directly impacts energy consumption, operational costs, and equipment reliability. Accumulation of soot and mineral scale inside boiler tubes reduces heat transfer efficiency, increases fuel consumption, and may lead to unexpected equipment failures. This workshop is designed to introduce effective cleaning methods and technologies that help maintain optimal boiler performance. The event features two distinguished speakers with extensive expertise in their respective fields: Slamet Wiyuniati, S.ST, Nuclear Technology Development Specialist (Ahli Madya) at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Agus Purwanto, Ph.D, Expert and Co-Founder of PT Cipta Mikro Material (CMiM). Participants will receive comprehensive insights into boiler maintenance strategies, industrial pipe cleaning techniques, and best practices for improving operational efficiency. Participant Benefits Registered participants will receive: Training Kit Certificate of Training Snack and Lunch during the workshop Registration Fees The investment fee varies according to participant category: Industry Professionals: Rp 2,500,000 Lecturers and Researchers: Rp 2,000,000 Students: Rp 1,500,000 Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code provided on the event poster or by visiting the registration link: https://bit.ly/Workshop_PTCMiM Event Details Event: Workshop CMiM – Maintaining Boiler Efficiency: Cleaning Soot and Scale in Industrial Pipes Date: 23–24 August 2026 Time: 09:00–15:00 WIB (GMT+7) Venue: TBIC Building, BRIN Puspiptek Pengasinan, Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java 16340, Indonesia The workshop is expected to serve as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing between researchers, industry practitioners, and academic communities, while promoting innovative approaches to boiler maintenance and energy efficiency in industrial operations. After all, industries spend enormous sums trying to squeeze a few extra percentage points of efficiency out of equipment, only to discover that cleaning the pipes properly was part of the answer all along. Physics remains stubbornly unimpressed by neglected maintenance.
